Providence, RI : Local artist and metalsmith Rhonda Dudek, founder of Figs & Ginger, invites the community into her Olneyville studio this December for a winter celebration of creativity, sustainability, and heartfelt giving.

Running Fridays through Sundays, December 13–21 (11 AM–6 PM), the Handmade Holiday Open Studios offer visitors a relaxed alternative to traditional holiday shopping. Guests can browse Figs & Ginger’s sustainable jewelry, ornament and DIY kits, and a curated collection of vintage clothing and home goods, all while enjoying tea, music, and the warm atmosphere of Dudek’s plant-filled studio.

The event also features Gift-Maker Stations, where visitors can purchase supplies to make a small set of gifts on-site or take home to complete later, designed to make holiday gifting more personal, meaningful, and fun.

“We all need to get out of our head for a bit, and no one has money for big gifts this year, I hope people will find my studio a nice place to find or handmake something heartfelt” says Dudek. “Let’s bring back intentional gift giving.”

The Handmade Holiday Open Studios are free to attend, with optional projects and items available for purchase.
