Do I need ANY prior experience?

Nope! Because you will have guided one-on-one instruction with a professional artist, no prior experience or artistic ability is required.

Rhonda has been exclusively metal-smithing since she graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2004, so has over 20 years experience in the field. She will be there to help you every step of the way by breaking it down into small steps that make the process easy to follow.

What will the rings look like?

Your rings will be timeless, minimal designs. You can choose textured finishes made with hammers and rolling mills or go for a matte, brushed, or polished look. Personalize them with inscriptions, and we can even add a slight curve for engagement rings. All metals are eco-friendly, SCS Certified Recycled Precious Metals—because we love the earth as much as you do! Nickel-free and hypoallergenic too!

Can I make this a fun surprise proposal?

Absolutely! Rhonda would be over the moon to help make your proposal day extra special! We can video the big moment and sprinkle in some extra magic. Just let us know in advance—additional fees may apply depending on the details.

Are there any add-ons for the experience?

Yup! We have a laser cutter in house so can customize a ton of goodies. And we're happy to custom make something special for the occasion. Just let us know after booking. Depending on decisions, additional fees may apply.

What should I wear?

Feel free to look cute, but keep the following in mind:

Closed-toe shoes are a must for safety.

• Wear something with sleeves you can roll up, and avoid loose jewelry.

• Hair should be tied back for soldering and polishing.

• We provide aprons, so your clothes should stay clean—but it’s still a working metal studio, so be white isn’t a great idea

But, dresses are totally fine! Rhonda wears one most days!

Is this Refundable?

Ring-Making Workshop Cancellation Policy

Non-Refundable Deposit:  50% of your total is non-refundable. Silver and gold prices fluctuate daily and materials are ordered immediately to guarantee your current price.

Rescheduling: Rescheduling is available without penalty if requested 2+ months in advance. We allow one free reschedule to an available date if requested within two months of your workshop date.

Cancellations 2+ Months Before Workshop: If you cancel more than 2 months before the workshop, you’ll receive a refund for the remaining balance, minus the 50% deposit.

Cancellations Less Than 2 Months Before Workshop: Cancellations made within 2 months of the workshop are non-refundable unless we find someone to fill your space. If we do, you'll receive half of your total workshop payment.

Where are you located?

You can find us at:
25 Manton Ave for
Providence, RI 02907
There is a large "Cathedral Arts Building" Sign on the building facing the street

Please note that our studio is not ADA-compliant and is located on the second floor of an old jewelry mill building. There are two sets of stairs you'll need to climb and no elevator. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience as we have family ourselves that require this, and are sad we can't offer the use of this space to all. Eventually, we would love to find a studio with proper accessibility!

Unfortunately, No. Our studio is located on the second floor of an old jewelry mill building. There are two sets of stairs you'll need to climb and no elevator. Eventually, we would love to find a studio with proper accessibility

Random Details

Please note we are located in a working mill building. While our personal space is truly gorgeous, there may still be noises from our neighbors. We play music which covers most things, but please be prepared to hear others in the building.

Googls Maps like to take you to the wrong place, into the river along our building in fact! Our entrance is on MANTON ave and it's a large brick mill building along a river.
